Fertilizer prices stabilize in first month and half of 2011
Fertilizer prices have stabilized in the first month and half of 2011. Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, reports average prices of fertilizer every two weeks.
Anhydrous ammonia prices were:
- Jan 6th — $777 per ton
- Jan 20th — $780 per ton
- Feb 4th — $781 per ton
The $781 per ton price is $231 per ton higher than the August 19th,2010 price of $550 per ton.
Diammonium phosphate prices were:
- Jan 6th — $672 per ton
- Jan 20th — $670 per ton
- Feb 4th — $678 per ton
The $678 per ton price also is $169 higher than the August 19th,2010 price of $509 per ton.
Potash prices were:
- Jan 6th — $565 per ton
- Jan 20th — $567 per ton
- Feb 4th — $569 per ton
The $569 price is $78 higher than the August 19th, 2010 price of $491 per ton.
